150 cc Hero Honda Hunk Preview - Tech Specs and Wallpapers

150 cc Hero Honda Hunk
“Hunk” appears to be a decent looking motorcycle with more worthy features. From the engine specs it can be seen that both the “Hunk” and the “CBZ Xtreme” has similar power and torque figures. The Hunk even retains the RED colored Spark Plug cover from the CBZ Xtreme..!!  The bulbous tank gets large plastic tank extensions which kind of reminds of the ones first seen on the Yamaha Gladiator and the yet to be launched TVS Flame.

The battery and the Air Filter cover have a two tone finish of black and silver and looks quite nice compared to the unimaginative ones found on the CBZ Xtreme. The tail extensions kind of remind you of the TVS Apache. The “Hunk” follows the latest “all black” fad kick started by the Pulsar 180 DTSi. To break the monotony of the black engine covers and the alloy wheels, the “Hunk” gets silver/gray finished footrest sub frames and rear suspension springs. Even the front forks and the Gas Filled rear shock canisters get a copper/gray finish.

The rear wheel mud flap looks similar to the ones found on the Bajaj Pulsars. From the photos, the rear mud flap doesn’t quite seem to gel with the rest of the bike and seems to be jutting out a wee bit more than it should have.

Cost Cutting:

Cost cutting is evident on the “Hunk”. It misses the Split Rear Grab Rails and LED rear tail light (the Hunk gets normal bulb one) which were earlier found on the CBZ Xtreme. The Hunk also doesn’t get a Digital Speedometer display like its “desi” competitors. Another sore omission is the alloy triple clamp. The hunk features a steel plate instead of an alloy triple clamp.

Pricing:

The Hunk has been priced at Rs. 55,000 (ex showroom New Delhi) for the kick start model and at around Rs. 57,000 (ex showroom New Delhi) for the self start model.

    yeah……………….

its really made for a muscle man …………….

according to me, hero honda has done a brillent job by designing this HUNK which provides with a powerful 150cc engine and gives a perfect styling too………….

I bought new HUNK Black on 23/11/2007 & really its an ausumn bike. I mean……..u r getting everything in a 150cc bike…alloy wheels, self start,GRS,Disc Break & last but least the look……….This look is far bette than CBZ Xtreme….

Hero honda hunk Is overall a good bike but it need some more modifications like speedometer should be dgital Meter and its tail light should be of L.E.D bulbs then this bike looks like super bike.

nice bike I want know the exact milage of hero honda hunk

its a miracale that herohonda had made this bike this year

    @nevil
Although HH might not have spent more time sply while choosin a name….
but i feel that name suits the bike in every angle,be it looks or performance….it is a “HUNK”…
looks heavy & performance to the boot as compared to any 150cc bike in its segment….
i love biking , a member of many biking clubs and have been riding for quite a long time, had an old cbz (the first model with low mileage & xtreme performance),i purchased this bike recently, and i was really impressed it handled well, and had all the plus points of old cbz with mileage…gives me an average of 55….
and i also own a pulsar 200,oil cooled, its been 4 months and bike already started giving some problems like
    -sound change.
-digital goes kaput & resets every time.
-self cancelling indicators need to be manually handled.
-worn out brake pads.(and i wonder how!!)
i dont drive rash even then…but i travel daily for 50 kms avg…
speaking of digital & other fancy stuffs, they are not RELIABLE for our weather conditions.or even then it dosent give us that thrill of using analogue meters…everytime we press the throttle and the stick slowly movin upward touchin the red line….vrrroooom….thrill!!!
RELIABILITY is wat we are lookin for dude!!!….mark my words….
and lastly ,HH i really am thankful to you for creating such a bike….kudos to HH….

hunk is very sexy bike i want to buy this bike in next year

I don feel hunk really looks good. maybe a great performer but the tail lamp has to be a bit modified and the should have had digital reading.maybe black is the only best colour in it like cbz xtreme.

CBZ xtreme is better than Hunk …. just saw hunk on road and it really didnt ecite me…. For me cbz xtreme is very good bike

I luv Hunk…. its cool bike..
i m forcing my bro.. to buy the Muscle man Hunk

    its very bad company

    very good

i ve also booked a HUNK and it is expected 2 b delivered by 2nd jan08…,,earlier i was driving kinetic honda…heheheh…now d old lady will have some rest….d look is really stunning..but d tank is a bit over-HYPERTRPHIED…u sit on it and u den feel dat it shd have been a bit smaller…in bodybilders term lots of trapezoids is added…..hope it will b a gud partner 4 a long run…

how much is the milage of hunk.

    @teja
its about 45 to 50 during drive in period…i.e before first service…and supposed to increase there after…

hey…..HERO HONDA HUNK is really the best bike in 150 cc segment…

my brother allready have apache 160cc…
but i think HUNK is much better option..!!!

i willl definately buy it on my birthday,14feb…

herohonda hunk really like a HUNK

I bought new HUNK Black on 11/1/2008 & really its an GORGEOUS bike. I mean……..u r getting everything in a 150cc bike…alloy wheels, self start,GRS,Disc Break & last but least the look……….This look is far better than Old CBZ & CBZ Xtreme…. It’s a rocking bike. Herohonda hunk really like a HUNK. hero honda does a great job but they should understand that bikers need new things which are in fashion , they should try digital meters with there bikes , ihope they will when they expose next edition of bikesi think HERO HONDA Hunk best bike of the year 2008 award.

hunk must b redifine with da generations i mean 2 say da digital meter adjustable handle rear disc brakes n top f that engine capacity must b increased i e 180 cc or 200cc etc……….

hero honda hunk is a very perfect bike for teenagers bcoz it has all the qualities which a teenager wants i can say this confidently bcoz i have it and it has beated bajaj pulsar and all other indian bikes

After driving hunk for over 4 months i can say dat its mileage isnt as much as it is projected..mine gave around 25-30kmpl…i asked d service mechanics 2 correct dis and den it rose 2 32-33..and dats it….i asked two more persons abt d meleage and dey said d same things..so better talk 2 person face 2 face b4 byuing dis…on od issue dis bike is great..
